Trimming a track in DVDSP
by Cole Prine on Aug 22, 2008 at 9:56:17 pm

In making a dvd, I had too much black at the end of a few mpegs. I laid several mpegs into one track for a 'play all' option on the menu. When I trimmed the black of the end of a few of the clips, it gave me an 'Internal Muxing Error' when I tried burning. Can you not trim an mpeg in DVDSP? or does it just have to do with having another mpeg right behind it in the same track?

Cole

You can trim in DVDSP but I never recommend doing assembly edit work in DVDSP (I know it has that feature built in) It is much better to assemble the play all in FCP and encode the full movie. This is cleaner and less chance of playback issues.

If the m2v's differ that can cause the error you are getting.
