I am using iDVD to burn DVD projects from Final Cut Pro. In the past I haven't had any problems with any of my projects burning correctly, but this week I can't get around this problem. In the past I have exported from Final Cut Pro to a Quick Time Movie file. Then I tke that file and drop it into iDVD where I would normally have no problem creating a project. I can't figure out why iDVD will go through all it's encoding phases, but then when it gets to the burning stage iDVD will turn completely off and my saved iDVD project will not be there any longer? I have gotten one project to burn but only because I didn't put any type of video or pictures on the menu. I need the menu to work as well and I can't seem to get the project to burn correctly. I am really frustrated and can't figure this out and this is a very important project I have to turn in very soon. If anyone can help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks for your help...

Sorry honestly I do not know much about iMovie, as I prefer to deliver DVD's to clients that do not look like my 10 year old nephew could have made (more and more common with the gaining popularity of Mac's)

For any DVD to be created the video MUST be encoded into the DVD format first. Even DVD SP will do encode the video to that format if you don't pre encode it. And iDVD will not let you pre encode.

Could be a bad project file, try creating a NEW iDVD project from scratch.

That could be caused by a bad media file. Try and export a new video file out of FCP.
