unable to encode
by Sorin Mihailovici on May 21, 2008 at 9:48:21 am

Hey guys

I built a project in DVD SP on an external hard drive using one of the computers at school. Once the school was done I bought DVD SP for home and when I opened the external hard drive and wanted to burn a dvd at home it said that is unable to encode a few of the clips (almost half) that I had in my project.

The clips (Quick Time files) were always on the external hard drive and never taken out on the school computer. Although I use the same external hard drive on the computer at home it doesn't let me build/ the project.

I tried renaming the files and bringing them back but I still have the same problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks a lot guys! The project that I am working on is actually my portfolio and I really need to get it done this week.

Thank you,
Sorin

What's the error and why not encode them yourself in Compressor before going to DVDSP.

Every time when I try to build the project it says :" Error while encoding file" and then the name of the file...

It was suppose to convert all the MPEGs once I import them into DVD SP. At least that's what it did on another computer...

How do I encode a file in compressor?

Thanks
Sorin
