dvd burn speed

I couldn't find anything about this on the forum.
How do I adjust the burn speed of DVD studio pro?
When you burn a master for duplication it is advised to minimize the burn speed for accuracy. I can't find anything in the preferences to do with this. And there is no indication of what the default is.Is there someplace else I should look?

Hi Alan,

There is no way to set the burn speed in DVDSP at the mo! You'll need to use Toast, Disk Utility or another app of your choice to be able to control it...

so would it be wisest to build/format the ISO file within DVDSP, then use Disk Utility to burn the master at the slowest rate (1X)? that's what i've been doing thus far and usually get very good results. by the way, does anyone know what speed DVDSP burns discs at?

thanks again!
