Scripts and Last Item numbers
by Aaron Kruse (akruse) on May 5, 2008 at 3:34:26 pm

I am working on a project with scripts built in for the first time. I am wondering if it is better to use the item numbers (like 49280 for a last item track number), or to use the Last Item line in the script line inspector instead? Is one more robust than the other, or are they both just the same? I am aware that they both take me to the same items in the project, I am just thinking in terms of compatibility with other systems and players.

A secondary issue is: is there a way to clear out the memory of the menu button when in a menu? That is, i would like the menu button to still work in menu B, but I don't want it to return the viewer to a track that is accessed through menu A. Does the DVD spec allow you to do this? If so, where can I get to that in DVDSP?

thanks!
