Scrolling text in FCP looks gittery in DVD Studio Pro
by Vicente Ulive on Apr 12, 2008 at 12:55:28 pm

Hello, quick question:
I created my credits in FCP using a scrolling text. I exported my movie via compressor into DVD Studio Pro.
Everything works fine, sound in sync, etc., but at the end, when I get to the credits, they are ghostly, as if you had every line of text doubled and separated, creating an eerie-unreadable feel.
I get this on the simulator, and of course on the test DVD I burned.
Notwithstanding, if I compress the DVD into an .avi using Total DVD converter, the credits don't tremble, they're fine.
Why do the scrolling text credits look good on FCP and on an .avi but are unreadable on DVD Studio Pro?
Should I go to the trouble of doing the scrolling credits via livetype or wil I just waste my time?
Thanks, V.

Try adding motion blur and doing them in Motion.

Thanks, Noah!
Worked like a charm. Motion rocks, it took me a while to figure it out, but with wikivid and other stuff, I schooled myself through it.
Thanks again for the help.
