I burned a short doc to DVD and the titles and lower 3rds have blocky artifacts around them. The FCP timeline is "DV". the Motion3 CG files were exported to the FCP timeline "lossless alpha". the DVD compression was unaltered in DVD studio pro. Are there compression techniques that I can use to remove these artifacts? Any help is appreciated.
thanks,

One thing I have learned is that when this kind of thing happened to me I was told to make sure that I used "Easy Setup" in FCP. Do not change anything like field dominance or pixel size! Make sure your using the right codec in ur Easy setup. In your case it looks like Canon DV/NTSC or equivalent.
I'm not too knowlegable about Motion Graphics so maybe someone else can help u with that.
What compression technique did you use? Compressor/ QT?
Sometimes there are patches req'd for new software. You have FCS2 but is it all up to date/ versions? Running Leopard?
OS?
Another thing is Photoshop files have to be flattened into DSP
for the menus when using the layered option!
