Please help me.
It's really urgent.
I made a DVD with 3 language selections - English, Chinese, Japanese.
Each language has two episodes of drama.
The visual source is one and language tracks are three.
All of the target is designated to its language track.
(Here is a question about it...
When I appoint the target or language, do I have to appoint only one either Target or Subtitle? Does one have to be 'not set'?
I'm not clear about it but what I understand from manual was that.)
I have to make it single layer DVD so I have to do that way.
It goes well in simulation.
But after burning DVD, it doesn't show Chinese or Japanese subtitle even though I select Chinese or Japanese.
It only shows English sustitle.
So I have to change language with remote control.
I read some articles in forum with similar case with me.
It says it only shows the first track which is worked in DVD S P which is upper version 3.
What we have is version 4.
So we tried to do the same thing in version 2.0.
But it has same problem too...
I don't what to do now.
I'm really looking forward to your reply.
Thank you.

What do you mean by language? Is there a seperate sound track per language too? If so, it's not said that the subtitle track should be the same as the language track (and that's a good thing, i prefer watching movies with their original soundtrack but subtitles in my language, or english...)

If this is the case:
Make an extra menu option for subtitles or script it so the script will set both audio and subtitle stream.

This is just a suspicion, but I think there may be a bug with DVD SP rendering engine when it encounters 2-byte languages such as Chinese and Japanese.

I suggest you create a couple of graphic files in Photoshop with Chinese text (You know how to do it I presume) and import them into timeline. Build the project and see if it works for you. Then find a service bureau that can make Chinese/Japanese in Sonic's Creator format and off you go.

Good luck with your project.
