Selection area outlines visible on DVD Menu

Hello!
I just did a "Search" but couldn't find anything about this issue - perhaps I used the wrong keywords or something.
I've got a situation where I'm seeing the rectangular outlines of each of the selection areas of the buttons on the DVD menu. They're very light, but they're there and I can't figure out how to get rid of them so that the menu is clean.
Has anyone run in to this problem before and knows of a fix?
Thanks very much!
-Pat

Do the outlines show up on a burned dvd? or just in the simulator window? or just in the menu window?
what type of menu is it? simple overlay? or photoshop layers?

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your help with this and sorry I wasn't more descriptive with my original question!
Yes, the selection lines are visible on the burned DVD when the main menu (the only menu, in this case) shows.
The project that I'm doing is a wedding for my niece, and I've rarely done weddings in my 24 year career - mostly corporates and spots. Anyhow, the main menu itself is five heart shaped buttons from DVDSP (no Photoshop layers) and the rectangular selection area goes around each heart. Since I usually do rectangular shapes in DVDSP for my relatively simple corporate DVD menus, I've never noticed the rectangular selection areas on the burned DVDs before (assuming that they're always there and just hidden behind the shape).
I hope this is more descriptive. I have already tried to see if there is some way in the Track window to make the selection area transparent or adjust it in some way, but I didn't see anything. I wish I could export a frame of the menu itself from the burned DVD to show you, but I don't think that's possible.
Thanks in advance for whatever ideas or workarounds you might have,
-Pat

I don't think you should ever see the rectangular outline as you are describing...
Maybe select one of your buttons on the menu and take a look at the Inspector window.
Click on the "colors" tab and see play around with the transparency a bit.
You might be able to make the outline disappear while retaining the heart shape.
