Greetings,
I have a 8.4GB DVD Studio project that I am trying to burn to a Dual layer Disc (8.5GB, both RIDATA and Memorex)
Studio Pro allows me to Build the file but it will not allow me to Burn to A dualLayer Disc or Format an image file.
Everytime I try it says " A suitable marker could not be found in the required layer break range".
The Breakpoint is on Automatic, I have tried it manually several different points on the disc and it still does not work.
I have used every option I have and it will not permit. Can someone please help.

Your project seems very tight on the 8.54GB capacity limit. You will have to add a marker at the very middle of the project (Layer0 must be >= Layer1, Layer0 limit is 3.9GB, I think, not sure). You can calculate exactly where the LB must be placed, or try and guess and look when, in the LB choice tab, a suitable marker is black (Not grayed). Remember, DVD-+R DL are pre-formatted OTP, so you can't choose PTP.

This comes up every few weeks on this forum.
As your project get closer to disc capacity, it becomes more difficult to find a proper layer-break marker.
Sounds like you'll have to do some guess work and pick a track that you think is the half-way point of your material.... so if you have 3 hours of content, pick a track or a location on the track that you think contains the 90 minute point.
Go ahead and add a bunch of chapter markers to the track around that "half-way" point.
Then click the build/format button again and see if there is a valid layer-break point in the drop-down list.
If they are all greyed out.... you need broaden your range by adding more chapter markers and try again.
Once you find a valid marker, remember it's name and go back to delete all the extraneous ones you added... except for the valid one of course.
Then you can finally format your dual layer disc.
Like I said, if your disc is near full capacity, this can be a mind-numbing experience.

You can download a free demo version of DVDAfterEdit, which will show you graphically on which frame the suitable marker should be placed. http://www.dvdafteredit.com
