Double layer DVD breakpoint

If you have a double layer DVD with a lot of short videos each started from within different menus will the navgation work properly?
It seems that setting breakpoint always refer to one long video track or to tracks be played one after another.
An example: I have 50 tracks. I use the automatic breakpoint function. 30tracks will be on layer 1 and 20 on layer 2. If I activate track 40 will that work? If the breakpoint is in track 30 and I hit for track 40 will the system find the breakpoint an go to layer 2?

Yes, this information is stocked at the head of the DVD (Vvideo Manager), in addition to all elements position on the DVD. All the DVD structure is placed in the VMG.
