DDP 2.0 & 2.1

Anyone experienced the difference between DDP 2.0 & 2.1 ? What is it exactly ? I supposed it also depends on what the replicator needs ?

I'm outputting to DLT (DLT1), but I was doing it with GEAR on my PC. I'd like to go with DVDSP to restrict the workflow, which SCSI card could fit in my G4 Dual 1Ghz, ATTO ?
