Here is my problem:-
I am currently using DVD SP3 with G4.5 computer. After working in FCP5, I came bact to DVDSP and created Main Menu and Chapter Menu. At the Main Menu I created two buttons. One button is for the viewer to play the entire video as an option. The second button takes the viewer to the Chapter menu. From the Chapter menus, I linked all the menus to the chapter markers that I created inside DVDSP, and everything plays well. The button I created to play the entire video is set with an end jump to Chapter menu. Then 4 additional chapter menus with the end jump back to Chapter Menu. However, when I play the button that suppose to play the entire video, it plays for few minutes and then jump to Chapter menu. What should I do to solve this problem. I want the viewer to be able to play the entire video at once or play individual chapters depending on what they want.

have you set the target for the "play movie" button to "track" or "chapter 1" ? make sure it's set to track to play the whole track.
otherwise, does it stop consistantly in the same place? have you checked to see if there's a renegade chapter marker in the place where it stops? maybe you've selected that by accident. it's really easy to make a mistake when creating your links.

Thanks for responding to me. I have waited for some response but none. So thanks a lot.
Yes I set the "Play Movie" button to "Track" and the end jump to main menu. From all that I can tell, yes it stops at the same sport. So I will go back and double check and zoom real close to make sure that I'm not missing any accidental marker at that point.
As I was waiting for any help, I decided to recreate the Manu and my buttons so that the first button will automatically link to the next and the next until the whole track is finished. I had wanted to make sure that each button will bring the viewer back to "Chapter Menu" where they can select to any chapter they want without playing the entire video in series each time.
I know that this can be done, I just have not figured out yet. I read the Manuel, but the explanation is not complete.

hi okeoma,
i know i've created seperate tracks to link certain buttons to very specific portions of video but these were always entirely seperate clips on their own which i then placed back to back in a new track and linked a button to that track to play the whole thing in it's entirety.
other than that, i have no idea why your "play all" button would stop half way through other than the connection not being set to "track"
i'm sorry i can't be of more help. i'm still learning myself!

Read the manual and use "stories", this way is smoother AND you'll learn the program!

Like was said, use "Stories".
They are easy to use. Have your video on a track with all you necessary chapters. Click "ADD STORY" to add a story. Call it something like "Play All".
Go down to the timeline area and click on Story. Then drag all the chapter makers into the Story.
Set your Play All button's target to the "Play All" Story.
Make sure your "Play All" Story has the END JUMP set for the menu.
