Hey guys,
I have a FCP edit of a bunch of work done in 720x480 4:3 aspect ration. I'm compressing it mpeg2 60 min. High Quality to stick into DVD Studio Pro. Now the only way to present this piece of work was on a widescreen television they provided which has no 4:3 capabilities. Just some horrible scaling and stretching options.
How can I set up this edit and compress it so that it can play on a 16:9 aspect ration. I'm thinking that 4:3 with curtains thing. But I don't want to stretch it and deform all this work. Its like a presentation of student works. CHRIST! Anybody got a solution. Thank you

If you do everything in DVDSP at 4:3 it should work out fine as the DVD player should tell the TV that it is sending 4:3 and not 16:9. If the TV has an AUTO mode for aspect ratio it should display the picture with black bars at the sides. Also the TV and DVD should be connected by SCART. Can't beleive the TV has no 4:3 mode though...?
