i've been asked to burn a DVD out of studio pro at a speed no greater than 7, due to readability issues on clients' varied DVD players. i'm not exactly sure how to make this setting? is it the bitrate? or is the burn speed it's own setting?

I don't think that DVDSP will allow you to set the burn speed. Your 2 options are to either use 4X media to burn from DVDSP, or to use Toast to burn the completed VideoTS & Audio TS folders.

do you know what the generic burn speed is in studio pro?
if i use Toast, what's the best way for me to make a complete set of Video and Audio TS files in studio pro to bring over to Toast?

DVDSP will burn at the highest possible speed for the drive & media. There's no way to set it. Do a search in this forum for instructions on how to burn with Toast.
