layered menu
by normco on Jun 30, 2005 at 7:14:39 pm

Hi,

I have built a layered photoshopo menu with the layers flattened and a -layer inbetween the normco, activated and slected versions of the buttons.

I put it in DVD Studio Pro into a layered menu icon and instead of getting roll overs. I get a single file list where I can't pick the state of the button for what.

I have made these before and they always worked. This is too wierd.

Create your button outlines in the Menu tab. Select a button outline, then open its inspector. Then you will be able to assign layers to button states.

Remember, button states, which includes layers assigned as button states, are properties of the button, and not the menu itself. So you must draw the button outline first, then edit those properties to see those states.

Use overlay menus, layered menus are not in the DVD standard, they will work, but are slow.
Cheers
