I know that all pics are encoded as mpeg files, but is the encoding the same in a slideshow as in a track ? I mean, will it result in the same size ? I ask this because I have over 500 pics to put in a slideshow and just want to know its a matter to put them in a track ?

Thanks
Pete

anything that youi see will be mpeg2 but stills are extremely easy encodes no info is needed on the B and P frames since nothing is changed from the I frame. So the number of picture is not a concern but the total length is as far as disc space. This is why you can change a slideshow to a track with a click of a button.

Thank you Sacci, that confirms what I thought.
