R3D files in Shake?

I can get Shake to read the Quicktime wrappers but not the RAW files. Is there any way to do that?

Good question.

You could try installing the codecs from the RED camera site. But I think your best bet would be to transcode your R3D clips into image sequences (RAW, DPX, openEXR, targa, tiff, etc.)that Shake would "prefer". The new versions of Final Cut Pro, Premiere, After Affects can import R3D so you might consider that workflow. Also of course, there's a Red forum here at the Cow and you could cross-post this question on that.

The RED RAW files need to be de-bayered which SHAKE has no facility for.
