Using a Black & White Video Clip as a Mask

	Using a Black & White Video Clip as a Mask by Tim Allen on Jun 2, 2009 at 10:37:06 pm Anybody know how to do this? I have some footage of an Explosion on a black BG. I also have the matte for said explosion and it's black & white. I tried just linking it to the (M) on the node where you'd normally put a mask, and it don't work none. 	Re: Using a Black & White Video Clip as a Mask by Arnie Schlissel on Jun 3, 2009 at 2:49:22 am If the matte shot is a 'hi-con' monochrome shot with no alpha layer, you plug the output of the B&W matte footage into the side mask input of the node you want to apply it to, then in the node that's taking the mask, you specify any of the RGB channels for the matte layer.
