using quickpaint to lumakey background and add with rotoshape
by Sanjeev Kumar on Dec 3, 2008 at 7:36:31 am

Hi ,

i have a footage in which their is opposite movement each frame that is leading me to keyframe on on and resulting in pops and swimming, I am using apple shake and i tried to luma key as the guy i want to key out is wearing black and background footage is different contrast except for little part of background matches exactly as the guys coat colour (i.e. black) so i did quickpaint interpolate to luma key after that, i did got the result but as i just want roto inside the key to hide swiming rotoshape i plugged the keychewed to postive value(so as to have area of white from which should be greater than inner roto white part) rotoshape into the mask of luma key so only roto shape area , but the quickpaint strokes appears white in the alpha and so when i add luma key and rotoshape and then plug this combined key into swithcmatte and Plate in FG of switch matte i get that black part of background which i painted to be visible those few frames that i have paint strokes interpolated..

so how should i do luma key in this situation.. please help..

In the quickpaint turn off the Alpha channel so you are just painting on RGB.
