Where does my background go?

I create an animation using some Over nodes and export it to a Quicktime file. The clip looks good, I import it into Final Cut and then my background disappears and is replaced with black. Can somebody tell me why my clip won't just stay the way I made it?

I'm not exactly sure what your node tree looks like but some thoughts:
Make sure you are putting your FileOut node after your final Over node. Render a test Flipbook(s) to see how your composites are coming out. Render using Animation codec.
In FCP, check out your alpha settings: Modify>Alpha Type>None/Ignore, Straight, Black, White
