Newbie Nodes in Error
by Capt'Nate on Aug 11, 2007 at 5:46:17 pm

Hi guys,

I just bought shake 4.1 so I can learn about the art of compositing and all. I am going through the shake tutorial that ships with the software and, following the instructions, everytime I click "Load" to open up a script file all the nodes are red and yellow and say "node in error." I can't find any documentation in the manual about this.

I've installed the tutorial files off the CD onto my external hard drive and set all the files and folders to "read and write."

Thanks,

Nate

Dbl check your file in nodes to make sure they are actually pointing to the media where it is located on your (YOUR) drive.

File paths might be looking elsewhere.

Good luck,

I knew it was stupidly simple. That did it, thanks for putting up with annoying newbies like me!
