Hello once again;
I am finally getting used to shake and things are making more sense as I continue to work with it! But are there plugins that one can buy or get for free. As I have watched tutorials from several different sites I notice and sometime the person giving the tutorial will have options that I don't have then I get confused. So are there any?

I always like to stick with what comes with Shake as I leap between a few different facilities as well as having my own licence of Shake, ...so for me it pays not to become reliant on extra plugins and macros or else you might find yourself in a pickle if you end up working for a company that doesn't have them installed (or not installed on their server). I'm surprised at you saying the web tutorials (not just here but elsewhere) rely on other nodes, ...most tutorials I've seen use the standard nodes available for whichever version of shake they were made on (older, pre v4, tutorials might use 'layer' node instead of an 'over' or 'multilayer' node, and newer tutorials will refer to nodes that older versions of shake don't have, but yeah, I can't think of any tutorials I've seen that have used any of the 3rd party plugins).
Having said that, if you want free macros, mosey on down to fxshare for freebee macros and plugins other users have written:
