Apple 10bit 4:2:2 uncompressed "noise" problem - Update. OpenGL issue?

Hi All,
You may remember in a previous post I was having issues with 10bit 4:2:2 media (Apple uncompressed codec) in Shake, resulting in random "sparkles" on many clips. The only way around this is to either force 8bit mode to ON in hte FILEIN (which makes keying much more difficult) or paint/roto out all the offending digital noise (which is soaking up WAY too much time).
Turns out that this issue is isolated to the Mac Pro - it doesn't occur on my G5 PPC. It has been suggested to me on the FCP forum that this is most likely an OpenGL issue with the video card (does Shake use OpenGL through the card for rendering?).
If that's the case, I was wondering anyone knows of a work around for this problem. I could move the project over to the G5, but I really can't afford the reduction in speed - and I bought the MacPro for this purpose.
I know there's officially no support for Shake at this time, but perhaps someone on the team might know of a video card setting (or a different card?) that may resolve this.

Yes, I have had the same problem with my 3.0 Mac Pro and therefore stopped using it, I have a still shot with the sparkles along the right side of frame, I can't remember if the sparkles were random or repeatable, I think they were pixel specific and repeatable. I am currently using a dual 2.7 and a quad 2.5 and the Mac Pro fetches my email. The Mac Pro has 8 gigs ram, a Kona 3, Fibre, 4 x 750gig hard drives, ATI X1900 video card and it surfs the web real fine, can't trust it for much else.
I'd like to compare stills to see if it's the same problem, I'm expecting to wait till maybe Sept when the new NAB stuff is released and then maybe by Oct. when the bugs are fixed before I'm able to use the Mac Pro again.
