Shake Morphing / Time Question
by Daniel Stone on Jan 28, 2007 at 2:25:47 am

Hey everyone!

I'm morphing video clips in Shake and am having trouble with the timing. When I use the morph node, Shake aligns both clips so they both start at the same time. That's not what I want. I want the first clip to play a few seconds and have the second clip start playing 24 frames before the first clip ends. I basically waht to create a 24-frame overlap for the effect. In FCP or After Effects I would accomplish this by simply dragging the clip so it overlaps 24 frames.

So my question is this: how do you get frame 1 of a clip to start playing at frame 10 on the time bar?

Thanks!

Couple of ways to do this...

I'd do it by changing the parameter for the incoming clip to reflect +23 in the Timing/Timeshift.

Or -- click on the TimeView tab in the Tab window and click and drag the second clip along the timeline.

Hope this helps.

Of course I mean 9 for the offset. Was thinking 24 for the offset not of the transition.
