Boris Title 3D kerning problem - Again

Hello All,
I thought I would try this first. I am constantly having problems with kerning trying to
use Boris Title 3D that come along with FCP 7 (I have version 7.0.3).

I have tried deleting the pref for the Boris Title 3D - w/o trashing FCP 7 prefs.
No dice. I have tried trashing the prefs for FCP 7. That "almost" worked.
I opened FCP w/o setting the appropriate prefs (disks, tracks, etc, etc).
Opened a new project - standard 640x480 ntsc. added a slug to the timeline,
and then placed a boris title 3d on the video track above my slug. I then proceeded to
two lines of text, each in a different font - the kerning was fine.

I then restored my FCP prefs, opened the same project - added a second slug to the timeline, and a
second Boris Title 3D - and tried entering more text - same or diff fonts - the kerning is way off.
So something is weird here. I do like the elements of the plug-in - but I have been adjusting
the kerning manually - this does not cut it.

Can anyone offer any suggestions here? I am using Intel platform - with OS - Lion - my system is about 4 months old.
