Graphic file looks "squashed" in Boris
by Lukkee Chong on Oct 27, 2009 at 1:11:48 am

Any explanation welcomed. I have a round logo which becomes oval when I use it in Boris, looks slightly flattened. It works fine in AE CS3.
Media100 version 13.1 with corresponding Boris for graphics, Photoshop CS3.
Thanks!

Lukkee,

What is the original image size and what is the aspect ration of the Red Project?

In the preferences in Red there is an import tab with options. If you set the Still Import Aspect ratio default to Square pixel do you see any difference?

Hi Matt,
The graphic file was made "bug" size in a Photoshop 720 x 486 then scaled further in Boris to 92.96. The Boris comp is 720 x 486 4 x 3.
There is no difference when I select Square Pixel option.
Thanks

Hey Lukkee,

If you could send me the image I could figure out the correct import settings for you and relay that back to you.
