Any free .mp3 ripping software?

I am seeking some free mp3 ripping software for mac. I also have win XP on parallels. I have been doing a lot of audio ripping and using mac the ripper and mpeg stream clip to put it back together.

I would even like to have the option of ripping to an .aif, using levelator and then maybe I can use apple’s compressor to batch convert to .mp3

MBP 2.4GHz 4MB RAM, 30"cine, MAC PRO 2.6 8 core 6GB RAM, Mbox, Neumann TLM-103, FCP HD 7. Pro Tools 8, Adobe Creative Suite, Reason 3.0, Macromedia Studio, ProAnimator, HVX200 with Firestore v4.0

I use LameBrain for batch encoding mp3s. Is that what you meant?

It's not been updated for a while, but it works well for me.

I've just been using iTunes. Does a decent job of getting the meta data as well.
