Merge multitrack changes back to FCP?

When I edit one clip at a time in Soundtrack, FCP can automatically replace the old clip with the edited one. It seems to swap out the audio-portion of the DV file and swap in the AIFF of the result from Soundtrack. Great.
But with a Multitrack project, I want to do the same thing. I exported a complex timeline from FCP to Soundtrack, and I'm making changes. Now I want those changed clips to automatically go back and update in FCP. But they don't seem to automatically do that.

I don't think that capability is there for the simple reason that in multi-track, effects are real time, while in the clip editor, you must flatten the file to include the effects. Since most of the effects in Soundtrack are not going to exist in Final Cut Pro, how could it provide an update of the changes you made in Soundtrack?
Of course you can have your video from Final Cut Pro play back in Soundtrack, which in effect gives you what you are looking for - the mix with picture; and you can also export a mixdown that you can import back to Final Cut Pro.
