Lets say I have an audio file on a single track, I would like to set markers and then export individual audio files (AIFF or WAV) from this single track.
Apparently this can be done in Adobe Audition in the following manner:
“Add markers - then Merge those markers into ranges in the Cue List from which the Batch command can save them out as separate files.”
Anything similar in Studio Pro?
Hope that made sence...
Sincerely
Daniel

Daniel,
Try this:
Click the File Editor tab located in the Lower Pane of the Multitrack Project workspace. In your multitrack project - select your audio file. Back down to the File Editor ... use your mouse to select a segment that you would like to export as an independent file. Now drag that selection back up into an available track.
From there you can alter your export options accordingly, if necessary.

Needed to automate exporting and splitting a lot of tracks for project in Soundtrack, and we couldn't figure it out, so we gave up, exported the whole file, and did it in Audacity.
In Audacity, use cmd-B to add "labels"/(markers) where you want to split your file. Then in the file menu, choose "Export multiple" and under "Split files based on..." choose "labels."

Hello
Please excuse the delay…I have been a bit busy. (an by busy I’m mean a bit lazy…)
My first test with Audacity and others didn’t really work out as I hopped. But I might have been rushing it a bit and will go back and try again later this week.
My current workflow is done from within FCP. However, the only portion that is automated is the batch export at the end. Before that it requires some rather taxing actions:
1) mark out the sections I need to breakdown within a sequence (markers)
2) make the sequence independent
3) create a new bin
4) get the razor tool and turn on snapping and cut on each marker
5) drag each section to the new bin and rename.
6) Export the bin with .wav or .aiff settings
7) You should now have individual audio clips from the sequence: nicely named.
