Dialogue Editing
by PETER LEE-JONES on May 29, 2008 at 10:14:19 pm

Hi CC STP,

I want to set my ProTools Girl to work on the Dialogue Edit for my feature film. But I want her to use Sound Track Pro. Are there any really hot training courses in London, UK area? It seems to be a powerful tool that no one knows how to use.

I know this was posted a few weeks ago, but I can offer a suggestion - I noticed that lynda.com has a training program for Soundtrack Pro 2. I have never seen it, but I remember looking at some of their other material and it was pretty good at getting one through the mechanics of how to use a given software program.

I just had another look at lynda.com and I see they have 7 hours of essential training and 4 hours on filters for Soundtrack Pro 2. One puzzling thing - the essential training videos for Soundtrack are closed captioned - I am wondering how a deaf person could learn to edit and mix audio! If they can do it with Soundtrack Pro, then it has to be more amazing than I already think it is!

Dennis
