Security Security
by Bobby Holbrook II (Bobbygiles) on Apr 7, 2008 at 7:58:22 pm

Hey Guys,
Is there any way to see if someone has been pulling info from your system drives via network? Is there a history of information that I can pull up to see if anyone has been cloning my drives?? If not from my system but also from theres. Is there any way that I can find out if this has ever happened?

Please let me know If you have any Ideas..
Thanks
Bobby

Bobby,
There is no log that is generated by the MediaVault that shows access to the array from either the host system or the network.
You would need to run a third party uitilty that monitors and logs network activity.

So installing a 3rd party software would only note and log activity up to that time and date and can not go back and check for any activity prior to installation?

Thanks Chad

Bobby,
That is correct. You would only be able to see what has transpired after the installation and not before.
