Hi.

I'm trying to crate a simple DVD (1 motion menu (with audio), 3 timelines) but keep getting the following error message:

I've done everything I can think of but since I don't really understand what the error message is telling me I don't know what the actual problem is.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be extremely grateful to hear them.
I should add that I'm using CS5.5

Thanks

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Very interesting that in the error message I see "Sonic/DVDCreator", which is another DVD authoring software - why is this showing up in an Encore error message? Do you have the Sonic product installed? Could be some kind of conflict.

Have you tried Building to an IMAGE rather than burning a disc? If you can build an ISO file (Image), then you can burn the DVD itself with freeware like "Burn-Aware".

Thanks for your reply Jeff.

As far as I know don't have any Sonic products and a spotlight search doesn't show any. I have a simple DVD burning programme called "Burn", but that's it as far as I can tell. Very strange.

I'll try to create an image and se if it helps.

Thanks again.

Stuart.

I just tried to burn an image and got pretty much the same error message.

I also tried removing the motion menu but got the same result.

Frustrating!

Hi Stuart,

Your video source clip may be dubious. You forgot to blur one of the titles ;-)

Is the error message limited to this project alone?

Jeff

I guess that could be it as I've never had the issue before.

I'm trying to create a dvd for my film class students that demonstrates certain techniques and have had to resort to some less than desirable methods of getting the clips I need.

Thanks again for your help!

Stuart
