Installation 1.0 - Not a Valid Win32 Application

Hello all, I recently purchased an older version of Adobe Encore DVD from a friend. I believe its a 1.0. I placed disc in the drive, and the computer recognizes it. But the autoplay function didn't work. So I double clicked the icon, and I received an error message saying that the disc is not a valid win32 application.
I believe I have all the specs for the old version, b/c I tried newer versions on the same computer. Can anyone tell me what this means?
Windows Xp
Intel Core 2 Processor
1.86 GHZ
1.98 Gigs of Ram

I don't have version 1, so these are just general ideas.
Sounds like the AUTORUN.INF file is calling for an app that is not a valid win32 application.
Try right-clicking on the disc in My Computer, and select Explore. Look for an EXE or INS file called Installer, or AutoPlay, or something like that.
