EX-3 Component out not working

Hi all -

Well I was not getting what appears to be a red signal coming from my component out on my EX-3. I thought it was the supplied connector chord. So .... I ordered a new chord. Same problem. So it appears to be the actual component out on the camera. Anyone else have this problem and is this something that can be repaired?I hate the idea of sending it back to the black hole of Sony and being without my camera for who knows how long. It was just so convenient to use this for my monitor? What do others do for a workaround?

You are connecting the Components out to a HD monitor with Components In, don't you?
And using the Components (no A/V) cable in the Components Socket?

Isn't it necessary to turn on component out in the camera menu?

My component out also is broken. For me it's the blue channel that's not working. I haven't had the opportunity to send it back to Sony yet but I'd bet they won't cover it under warranty.

Try another cable first.

Hi Steve -

Yeah I bought a replacement cable already and had the same problem. Very intermittent red channel comes and goes ... mostly goes.

we are having the same problem. Only blue is not working.
Did you solve it? Any solution?
