XDCAM footage stuttering in FCP
by Matthew Kasey on Oct 27, 2009 at 12:16:18 am

I'm using XDCAM footage (720p 23.98 fps) in a D1 sequence in FCP and there's a shot that tilts across a table (from bottom to top). it looks fine when i play it in the viewer, but when i edit into the sequence and render it, the footage looks steppy, like it doesn't play smooth across, kind of stuttering.

any ideas? is there a filter that might help smooth this out?

thanks

Are you running Snow Leopard? I haven't had any video run smoothly in it. In process of going back to Leopard till Apple figures it out.

No, i'm not running Leopard yet, but thanks for the tip on that. No, most of the footage runs good, looks good, but it was just this one shot. I was just wondering if anyone had any similar situations with this type of footage and shot.
