clip browser
by bob carden on Dec 20, 2008 at 3:46:41 pm

new to this--installed the XD CAM clip browser on my Mac Pro, shot some footage on the EX 3, loaded the card and had to go thru a few steps to import onto the clip browser. What am I missing here? Thought it would automatically load onto the clip browser. When I shoot my home camcorder (Canon) the card automatically launches imovie and downloads clips. Can the SXS card do that with clip browser? How?

Thanks,

Bob

What will you be editing with? Final Cut?
If so you won't really need Clip Browser unless you want to use it for coping the BPAV folder with verification. Other than that you will need to convert (re-wrap the files) to Quicktime .mov to work with a Mac using the XD cam Transfer program or the new Log and Transfer plugin for Final Cut.
