Mixing XDCAM HD and HDV?

We are doing a large production this summer. We have been thinking about using the EX1 for a few of the cameras - the rest are hdv-cameras. (SONY HVR-V1)
(It needs to be said that the different cameras are not going to be used in the same scene..)
My question is, is it possible to mix these formats? To record 35 mb/s with the EX1 and then HDV with the V1?
Our workflow looks like this at the moment:
1. Film everything in XDCAM HD and HDV
2. Do a roughcut in FCP
3. Do a media manager and extract all the media we are going to use, convert it into PRORES
4. Bring it back to FCP and do the real editing/compositing
5. Go to Sundance.

Your best bet would be to shoot with the EX in HDV (25 Mb/s). I have had clients shoot in 24P that said it matched well so I'm sure the 60i would work ok too

I agree completely with Scott.
If you are going to use multiple HDV cameras and one EX1, I'd use the EX1 in SP mode (25 mbits). This would be compatible with all of your HDV cameras. Mixing bit rates will cause you nothing but headaches - UNLESS you intend to capture everything thru Log and Capture. In that case, shoot in HQ mode (35 mbits).
