Sony XDCAM HD work flow question

I am not sure where else to post this so I will ask it here. Does anyone know if the XDCAM HD "decks" can be controlled like a VTR with RS 422 control and played into a FCP NLE with an AJA I/O via down converted SD-SDI in real time like a tape?
I know it is early but I am trying to narrow down the search for NAB and work flow seems to be the big question.
Thanks!

They have to. We have a Pioneer PRV-LX1 DVD recorder that will do that very thing so I'm positive the XDCAM decks will do the same. If not, what purpose would they serve?
There is an XDCAM ad running in this forum that if you click on it and then click again a time or two, it will take to the info that you need.
It seems like you guys are asking here before looking in the most obvious place. We don't mind helping you out but come on, make a little effort before asking us where to look.
By the way, the deck I pointed out to you has internal up/down convertors built right in.
