Combustion on Snow Leopard no longer crashing after render
by Alan Okey on Oct 23, 2009 at 2:53:43 pm

I recently made an odd but pleasant discovery after upgrading to Snow Leopard:

Combustion no longer crashes after a render, at least when rendering from within Combustion.

That's just weird. I'm happy that it's not crashing, but it's weird. Kind of makes you wonder what's changed under the hood in OS X to fix it. Just a happy accident, I guess.

I'll have to go back and try lining up a few comps in Render Queue to see if it works there too.

C* still crashes when you exit the application, however. And clicking on a footage source in the workspace panel or trying to adjust parameters in the footage tab will still crash C* about 90% of the time.

hmmm.. interesting!

(ps: if you select the footage in the schematic view .. well .. you know - the footage option in the schematic view, it doesn't crash. Double click the footage in the schematic view and you get access to the footage tab no probs.)

for what its worth - i have skipped mac town and bought a Pc to run combustion on - its a different world.

just noticed your monicker. very good. ;)
