Combustion RAM and importing from NLE

A few questions regarding Combustion 4
C4 only sees half of my RAM. Can I resolve this and how?
When I import an off-line or rough cut from my NLE programs, I would like C4 to see the edits. Is this possible and where in the book describes the procedure? As it is, doing a render to import to C4 of course creates a continuous clip and if I apply a color corrector to the footage it is applied to the entire clip. I imagine there is a procedure short of using an edit operator that I can not seem to find. Please save me from my limited knowledge and throw some insight to this new Combustion user.

Check the preferences and adjust the cache settings. However, combustion can only access up to 2gb on a 32bit system, and around 3.7gb using the /3gb switch or on a 64bit system. The only way I know to import the edits is to purchase the Automatic Duck < a href = http://automaticduck.com/products/picmb/>Pro Import Cmb plugin.

The only way you can import a project from an NLE and retain all of your cut points is to use Automatic Duck. There's no other method besides manually chopping up your complete movie file using the Edit operator.

Thanks to Mr Craft and Mr Okey two more BA info gurus!
Quick responses and timely information backed up and reiterated what Mr LaRue offered.
I imagined a response at the Forum would have taken longer, therefore I sought another yet associated solution ... All three IGs were on point!
Good looking out! I still have a mountain to climb but isn't that the nature of this endeavor anyway....

Ken La Rue one BA info guru!
Frustrated with my questions, I went to TSP website http://www.thestreetproductions.com got the number did an ancient yet tried and true technique and made a phone call. I got the man, and he answered my questions, directly and without disdain, and freely offered solutions that were outside of his business interests.
Like rain on parched ground.
Thank-you sir!

Combustion still has RAM limit issues.
Manufacturers still do not want to play nice together completely (this I should have guessed) Automatic Duck for pulling events from an NLE into another product to keep events intact
It seems to me that a simple EDL import should have been a no-brainer when writing original code.
