Layers disappear when parenting

Layers disappear when parenting

In C4, layers will sometimes disappear when I parent it to a null object or another layer. When I set the parent to none, the layer reappears.
Why does this happen? What's going on?

Bug. Lived with this on e for years. Only way around it is to restart the software.

Dean is correct.. Save your workspace, close and restart combustion, and it should work..
