Playing 2K DPX in Combustion in real time

Hi,
Is it possible to playback in real time in Combustion a 2K DPX sequence off a RAID storage that is capable of delivering that without any form of caching ?
And is it possible to cache to disk for real time playback or I have to do a render to disk instead ?

As I understand it, Combustion caches everything to RAM. I still love it, but the proggy is a bit long in the tooth, and was developed in olden days before fast RAID was an option.
Judicious use of the Switcher operator might help your workflow.
