"The plug-in does not use regular masks like it does in AE, instead the 3D Stroke plugin enables a Tool that you can use to paint the shape. It is found in the Toolbar when the 3D Stroke Plug-in is active. It looks like the 'Polygon/Bezier Mask' tool."
"This magic tool doesn't appear in C4 though"
"You need the version for Combustion:

"These were written for C3, but work fine in C4.."
The above paragraph was a quote from a vfxtalk forum concerning 3D Stroke's compatability with Combustion 4 and later.
I recently downloaded a Demo of 3d Stroke for my Combustion 2008 and all I got was some presets to use. It was by no means fully functional, so finally after hours of looking on the web, I got the answer to my dilemma! Apparently there is a 3d Stroke specifically written for Combustion! Am I wrong?
Anyway, this site helped me out so I thought I would share it with you:
