Color Grading for Red cam footage..
by romy marx on Aug 21, 2008 at 6:26:47 pm

It is first time to deal with project done by REDcam .
so it edited by Final Cut..

So what should i do to export it to combustion to deal with it as 4K?
and what should i render back form combustion to view at Final Cut at 4K resolution..

can i export it from FCP as TGA?
then Back to FCP?

best regards..
Romy

I don't use RED but have you tried exporting using RED quicktime codec?

Just a thought.

The RED quicktimes are just wrappers - you don't want to use those. I would use DPX or Tiff file sequences. If the project has a "look" that needs to be maintained I would run it thru REDcine and generate the file sequences from there.
