For all practical purposes I don't think there is one but I have tried to open 21k satellite maps before without any luck. It will open but as soon as it shows up in the viewport Combustion crashes. Maybe with more RAM it would be OK, I don't know. The next biggest I've tried is 9k [9000x2700 sky-domes] and they load without any problems.

I'm a contractor for Autodesk at the moment but, unless otherwise stated, all opinions expressed here are my own.

Thanks Bones,
But unfortunately, we won't be around when 9k resolution becomes the standard format....lol

But NHK's 4320p format (approx. 8k x 4k)
might take off at least in the hi-end or
specialized segments during the next
several years.

When it does, it will be time to move to Toxik, which eats hi-res stuff for breakfast.

I've used upto 10,000 pixels wide at 1080 pixels height and it worked fine, anything over 10,000 either way (x or y) doesn't work.. though i'd advise against that just cause it's ridiculously slow...

the shift node is handy so you don't need a composite tree running at that resolution...

pan and scan GOOOOOOO!
