render farm options. . .

Hello C'ers

i am working on a project which requires "synchronous sea" across 7 HD windows side by side. i have used psunami and created a 1080x13440 project (13440=7 HD widths)this is working but . . . each frame is 42+meg and takes 6mins+ to render. programming the sea is very painful as every adjustment rerenders and a draft run is not viable. the setup i landed on was a 12 sec loop which works ok but takes about 30 hours to render on my dual proc 2.4g pc. i can cope with all this but now the client explains that he wants to have the ship turn 45 degrees about 5 mins in and now i am thinking that i will need to render the whole length of 8 min 30 sec . . . about 41 days rendering ish. . . . render farms? the client told me about respower superfarm but that appears not to accept C so i was hoping for a tip or two from the gurus on the cow????

rescue me - lost at sea

Take a look at Boxx. They have special rackmount, expandable, rederfarm units. I have several of their amchines, and they are top-notch.

I'd second checking w/ Boxx. (www.boxxtech.com) Even their sales people understand animation & fx production. And you can reach tech support on the phone.

I own 6 units of varying ages from them.
