help with rendering
by Soifty on Sep 21, 2006 at 12:05:49 pm

Hi, I am trying to render a number of smoke particle layers to a targa file, the clip is 4 seconds long. IWhen I render it does the first frame perfectly but all the frames there after if renders as blank frames, all the frames in the animation have particle effects on them. I have tried doing the layers individually to cut down on render time and also tried rendering as a quicktime but it produces the same result one good frame then black. Any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks

Are you sure the "length" bar of the particles extends the full animation?
I think there's also a setting in the particles that turns the "life" off...make sure it extends the full 4 seconds. Check Opacity settings as well.
These are just a few things I can think of that I know I've missed in the past.

hope it helps
