 | Impoting 3D camera data into Combustion??
by combusted on Jun 14, 2005 at 3:25:08 am |
Is it at all possible to bring in 3D camera position data from ANY 3D/tracking application and assign it to Combustion's 3D camera? I have searched forums and posts everywhere to find an answer to this with no luck whatsoever.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks all.

it is not that you import your camera data into combustion but the 3d tracker (boujou, pftrack, matchmover, etc.) will create a combustion workspace for you.
all the tracking point (or only selected if you whish) are in that workspace in 3d space so you can easily align layers on it.
it works great and i use it quite often.
hope this helps

you can slave a 3d comps' camera to data coming in from anf RPF sequence or from an ascii ASE file(new to v4).

I have yet to try it, but you can import Syntheyes 3D tracking data into combustion.

if you trackingtool do not export to combustion but to maya, you can flow arround.
there is a maya plugin wich export a complete maya 3d worspace in cb. (try googling for maya cobustion export)with tracking features and 3d camera.
perhaps its a solution.
cheers
