Help: Locking layers with camera movement
by Declan Smith on May 9, 2005 at 9:44:13 pm

I have created a comp from two layers. The top layer has a mask which reveals the lower layer. The lower layer is scaled and sheared on 3D space.

I now want a camera dolly. When I animate the camera, it zooms in on the top layer ok, but the bottom layer stays static, thus it looks like the top layer only is coming towards the camera. Not the effect I want.

What I need to know is how do I lock the two layers in a comp together so they act as a single image, so when the camera zooms in, they move together ?

Note I am moving the camera in the Z plane.

Thanks
